Getting blood from the tree

Hi,
I am trying to forge the black rock sword and I can't seem to get blood from the tree- I am using the pick on the rock, but no blood is coming out.

Any suggestions? Could it be a bug?

http://exult.sourceforge.net/faq.php#stone_of_castambre use AND have the pick equipped. When in doubt enter a bug report WITH a savegame attached
