 OGG music

I converted a midi file into an ogg file with MID Converter 4.2 (i think thats it) and put it in the exult/data/music folder, but the ogg file will not play. I have the name in the correct format ##bg.ogg and it just goes blank instead of playing the music. Is there something I'm not doing right? Is there a better (and possibly free?) midi to ogg converter that will make it work? Let me know if anyone knows how I can fix this. Thanks!

You have to give the ogg a correct number, overwriting an existing ogg from the digital music pack, switch to digital music, play the correct song.
If you already did one of these things you failed to mention it.

Yes I've done all those things. Any song I overwrite with the ogg file just plays blank - nothing happens. I converted a midi to ogg from the MID Converter 4.2 program. Is there another one I should use?

does the ogg file play when being played through some media player? For example VLC.
