exult emulator for Intelmac mini

I originally played Ultima 7-Serpent Isle on a 386 17+years ago. It was the most immersive RPG I have ever played. I recently found out about Exult and I would like to play this version, but I have a mac mini 2.0Ghz running mac OS 10.5.7.

What emulator and operating system is most effective for this application?

Exult runs natively on Macs. Only problem is that version 1.2 was released for ppc mac and reportedly does not run well on intel macs. Best is to compile current Exult Svn on your own. It's not much of problem, download the source snapshot and then follow the instructions in readme.macosx
