First of all, many many MANY thanks to the devs and people who have contributed to Exult over the years. You guys (and gals?) are great!
I don't know why I am so concerned with the cheat. I have been enjoying myself in an ambrosia-wrapped blanket of nostalgic glory all weekend, but I decided to hit the web and I found out about some of the cheats in the game.
In particular there is one where you can get free XP from Batlin.

When you 1st speak with Batlin in Britain and ask to join the Fellowship, he will ask you to run an errand for him. In order for this cheat to work, you MUST say "No" to him when 1st asked.
After refusing, speak with him again and accept the errand. He will give you a sealed box to take to Minoc. As long as you do NOT deliver the box, this cheat will work.
After getting the box, chat to Batlin again. At the end of the conversation, he will ask you to deliver the box again. When you say yes, everyone in the party will gain 100 Experience Points. You can repeat this as often as you like, but only so long as you don't deliver the box.
When I speak to him the second time and accept the package, my party gains 200 XP. But then whenever I try to accept the package again after that, he always says, "Zounds! Thine hands are too full to take the box. Please divest thyself of some of thy belongings", and then my XP is unchanged.
My question is, was this a purposeful change or am I simply doing something wrong? Either way, I just would like to know, and I am not complaining if it is the way it is for a reason or not.
Unfortunately I can't run the game without Exult so I can't confirm that I actually know how to properly execute the cheat.
