music seems to come off and on depending where i go....sometimes it comes on, sometimes not.

my SB Audigy 2 has the latest drivers and is on IRQ 9....although i selected SB Pro and used their default stuff when installing.

it also seems like there is a lot of sounds i should be getting that i dont.

thanks for any help. i just got this game again and cant wait to get right back in. =)

You need the sound packs. The Downloads page has them. If you need any more help, just ask.

I'm running Mac OS X on a duel 1.2 Ghz G4 with 1.2 GB of DDRAM. I'm running Exult 1.1 beta and I have the jmsfx.flx in my data folder. I think how I'm fixing my cfg is wrong, because no sound works.
My cfg looks like this. Can you show me what its supposed to look like?

see http://exult.sourceforge.net/docs.php#wave_sfx
Quote:

An example of how the relevant part of exult.cfg looks with these packs:

<blackgate>
<waves>
jmsfx.flx
</waves>
</blackgate>
<serpentisle>
<waves>
jmsisfx.flx
</waves>
</serpentisle>

so looking at this and your config I'd say it should look like this:

<config>
<disk>
<game>
<blackgate>
<waves>
jmsfx.flx
</waves>
<path>
.
</path>
<title>
blackgate
</title>
<gamedat_path>
/Users/joe/.exult/blackgate/gamedat
</gamedat_path>
<savegame_path>
/Users/joe/.exult/blackgate
</savegame_path>
<keys>
(default)
</keys>
</blackgate>
<serpentisle>
<waves>
jmsisfx.flx
</waves>
<path>
.
</path>
<gamedat_path>
/Users/joe/.exult/serpentisle/gamedat
</gamedat_path>
<savegame_path>
/Users/joe/.exult/serpentisle
</savegame_path>
</serpentisle>
</game>
here come the other not relevant to this problem things...
